Accelerated Computing and the Age of AI

With the exponential growth of AI and high-performance computing, cloud data centers have adapted their architecture. Companies wishing to deploy their AI/ML platform in the cloud must understand the key aspects of this new architecture. In parallel, companies must understand how high-performance edge computing must be adapted to meet the surge of data, speed of data collection, and compute workloads associated with the deployment of new AI solutions.

Eric has been in the IT industry for more than 25 years and is responsible for the strategy and marketing of NVIDIA solutions in the areas of high-performance computing and artificial intelligence. Eric holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Université de Montréal in Computer Science and Operations Research.

Private Workshop

“Machine Learning with Python” is offered through the CENGN Academy, Canada’s Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks.  An exclusive, condensed version of the course will be offered in the morning, prior to the lunch event. It will be in-person, instructor-led, “hands-on” and targeted at small business and startup product development staff looking to get a step ahead into the world of Machine Learning with Python.

Developing, attracting and retaining top technical talent is a make-or-break issue for local technology companies. Unfortunately, accessing talent is becoming more difficult and it requires new strategies.

The University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Engineering is evolving to meet that challenge.

The engineering school is partnering with local technology companies to provide students with co-op opportunities, internships and hands-on training. New partnerships, including those with CENGN and Kanata North Business Association, are bringing the school closer to industry.
