Getting Started: Student Orientation
Students became acquainted with one another through CENGN’s organized student orientation. Throughout the week, several respected employees gave presentations on the company’s roles and responsibilities to familiarize the students with each department. The group was also lucky to hear from CEO JC Fahmy, who provided a thorough company overview. During the social lunch hour, all CENGN staff were invited to get to know the co-op students through an entertaining game of two truths and a lie.
Our Video and Design Marketing Student, Alvis Lin, had an enjoyable orientation experience. He stated, “It’s been great meeting everyone this week and learning about CENGN’s mission to accelerate Canadian innovation in the tech space.”
Vrinda Maheshwari, our HR Student, also enjoyed orientation stating, “Orientation has been a great way for me to understand what CENGN does and how they do it. Been only a week and I am thoroughly enjoying my time here. Looking forward to seeing how the coming months unfold!”
CENGN is looking forward to working with this vibrant group of students over the summer!
CCSS Certification Bootcamp
While our marketing and human resource students jumped right into work with their respective departments, CENGN’s engineering students are focusing on earning their CENGN Academy-provided CCSS certifications. The future engineers are learning the ins and outs of working in a cloud systems environment in this self-paced online training. The course examines standard cloud infrastructure practices, including Linux administration, Docker and Kubernetes, and network configuration.
At the end of the course, students are challenged to test their knowledge with the CENGN Cloud System Specialist certification exam. Upon successful completion of the exam, students receive a digital badge which they may display on LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
CENGN is looking forward to educating and training the next generation of ICT workers!
